About National Postdoctoral Appreciation Week
This year marks the 15th annual celebration of National Postdoctoral Appreciation Week (NPAW), which will take place nation-wide and at Georgia Tech from September 16-20, 2024!
The Office of Postdoctoral Services will host events centered around celebrating, empowering, and appreciating postdocs. We hope to create opportunities for you to cultivate meaningful relationships and advance your career. The National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) will also host virtual webinars and networking events throughout the week, which can be viewed on the NPA website.

Join this kickoff event for National Postdoctoral Appreciation Week, hosted by the National Postdoctoral Association (NPA). Dr. Rashada Alexander, the Director of AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowships, is the keynote speaker. She will discuss how postdocs can navigate and launch into an independent career with intentionality and resilience.
Because Georgia Tech is an institutional member of the NPA, all GT postdocs can join the NPA as an affiliate individual member for no cost. Register to become an affiliate member using your GT email address.
