About National Postdoctoral Appreciation Week

National Postdoctoral Appreciation Week (NPAW) takes place annually nationwide and at Georgia Tech from September 21-25, 2026! The Office of Postdoctoral Services will host events centered around communicating your science and research. We also hope to facilitate opportunities for you to meet postdocs across campus. The National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) will host virtual webinars and networking events throughout the week, which can be viewed on the NPA website. Professional Networking and Small Talk: Making Conversation that Connects

Are you a postdoc engaging in lots of professional networking? Trying to increase visibility in your field? Want to practice how you engage with colleagues and professors during social hour settings? Join us for a workshop on using small talk to make conversation that connects. You’ll walk away with tips and tricks to help put your best self forward without depleting your social battery. This workshop is designed for postdoctoral fellows and hosted by the office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Education and the Center for Teaching and Learning's International TA program.

Coffee and Cookies with the Naugle Writing and Communication Center

Postdocs are invited to take an afternoon break for coffee, cookies, and an opportunity to learn how the Naugle Writing and Communication Center can support their academic, professional, and personal writing and public speaking projects.
