To help inventors and researchers conduct efficient patent search, the USPTO rolled out the brand new Patent Public Search database which replaces the legacy PubEAST and PubWEST systems. Patent Public Search is a more robust online platform that provides the public access to similar search tools used by patent examiners.

In this session, you will learn the basics of the search platform, features, documents tagging and other useful tools through search examples.

Audience: Inventors, entrepreneurs, students, researchers, and any one who has an interests in patent searching.

Prerequisite: View the Preliminary U.S. patent search: A step-by-step strategy video before class.
