R is a free, statistical analysis software package that is commonly used in research environments for data analysis and visualization. In this hands-on workshop attendees will learn the basics of how to get started with the R Studio environment, including working with sample data to perform introductory statistical analysis and basic data visualization.
The session is geared towards those with minimal or no experience using the R software package although understanding of statistical concepts such as median and correlation is recommended. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own research data sets and statistical challenges for peer-to-peer assistance at the end of the session. There is no cost for this workshop and all technology will be provided by the library. Seating is limited so advance registration is recommended.
